Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is one of the most effective, reality-based fighting systems in the world. Created by the Gracie Family, the basic premise of BJJ is that 90% of fights end up on the ground. As such, BJJ is focused primarily on effective ground fighting. The goal is to put an opponent into situations on the ground where joint locks and/or chokes can be applied to force him/her to submit. Traditionally Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is practiced in a Gi or Kimono, because the burden the gi places on the body eliminates many physical advantages so the participant is forced to focus on technique.

Fundamental Class


Getting started in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be daunting. Training martial arts could be one of the most beneficial things I've ever done, mentally and physically, but getting over the beginner's hump is  where a chunk of those benefits came from.

Students experience results that go beyond gains in strength, flexibility, fitness or self-defence skills. By remaining truthful to the lessons learned in practice and applying them off the mats, Our students experience an overall improvement on their focus, energy and general well-being.

Advanced Class


While the Fundamentals Program focuses on the building blocks and basic principles of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the Advanced Program is built on high-level techniques and drills that start shaping the students game flow through the development of reflexes, speed and reaction time as well as transitions between one technique and another.

This class is designed for students interested in advanced techniques for competition and self-defence. Students learn and practice advanced sweeps, submissions, escapes and counters, how to reverse an attacker and how to force their opponent into submission. Detailed instruction in technique, specific drilling, and position advancement are the main focus of this class. Competition is encouraged, but not required.

No Gi Class


Nogi is essentially Brazilian Jiu Jitsu without the kimono (gi) shorts and t-shirt or rashguard and spats are suitable attire.

It is essential to train without the gi to supplement your Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training, especially if you are training for MMA or self-defence.

Private Classes


While group classes are a proven way of teaching Jiu Jitsu, largely because of the diversity of training partners. Private classes are a perfect complement to your normal training regime. The benefits of private lessons include a schedule that can be tailored around you, personal attention on areas you would like to work on and/or improve, and the ability to get multiple repetitions of specific techniques. During a private lesson you will receive instant detailed feedback on the position or technique which are being studied with out the worry of the instructor having to share their attention.


The techniques taught in group classes and private classes are similar. The difference is that when you are training one-on-one with an instructor, your instructor will give you immediate feedback regarding your technical execution since he knows precisely how it is supposed to feel. Flexible Schedule: In general, private lessons can be scheduled at any time, day or night, no matter how crazy your schedule may be, you will always be able to get your weekly dose of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
